Float Away
A downloadable game for Windows
The goal of the game is to extract resources from a floating island and then move on to the next one; in the meanwhile enemy invasions require the player to defend the base by building defences and recruiting new units. After each level you can unlock and upgrade your kit (stucture, units and abilities).
Just as humans like to do: exploit the resources of your floating island until there is nothing left, then move on to the next one to repeat the cycle.
- Progression: rogue-lite
- Duration: 10-20m
Working on my thesis gave me the chance to deepen my knowledge on a topic that I find very interesting: the creation of content procedurally generated through algorithms. At the same time this allowed me to develop this game. It's more than a year since the last time I touched the code, I hope nothing broke (thanks Unity for the frequent updateds).
